MIReSIta

Project Name: MIReSIta “Material and Immaterial Resources in Southern Italy (1250-1550): a realities’ digital repertoire”.

Client: Public Administration.

Objective: To design and develop the project’s official institutional website, alongside an advanced cataloging and access platform.

Solution: As the technology partner for the MIReSIta Project, NetCom Engineering oversaw the creation of the institutional website and the development of the advanced cataloging platform.

Description: The MIReSIta platform is an open-access digital repertoire designed to collect, standardize, and make available online the vast heritage of literary and documentary sources from Southern Italy between the 13th and 16th centuries. Featuring an advanced cataloging system with metadata, analytical records, and interactive geolocation, the platform allows users to explore historical, geographical, poetic, and scientific works, offering a multi-layered perspective on the material and immaterial culture of Southern Italy between the Swabian and Aragonese periods. The IT infrastructure, designed by NetCom Engineering, integrates semantic and cartographic search tools, providing scholars and the general public with a flexible, customizable, and accessible browsing experience.
